Dowon Yoo is a media artist, based in Seoul, exploring a sense of the body on a flat surface from a moving image to photography. He migrates between physical areas and digital areas through various kinds of representation tools and materials; motion capture, 3D scanner, and found footage to lens-based images. 

He is the recipient of a Fulbright scholarship. He has also participated as an art director, chief designer, and project manager in several media art projects such as media facades, installations, and exhibitions since 2016. He received an MFA in Digital+Media at Rhode Island School of Design and a BFA in Entertainment Design from Kookmin University.
