Yoo, Dowon(b.1991) is a visual artist based in Seoul, and he explores a sense of the body and identity on a flat surface from a moving image to photography by using motion capture, 3D scanner, and found footage. Recently, he has been focusing on colonial elements inherent in digital space and tools.
He received MFA in Digital+Media at Rhode Island School of Design and BFA in Entertainment Design at Kookmin University. He was selected for OCI Young Creatives in Seoul, and received a Fulbright Scholarship. His work has been exhibited at Boston Cyberarts Gallery(US), Demo Festival 2022(NL), and the Rhode Island School of Design(US.)
